Born in 1939 in Novosibirsk, Siberia.

 

Poet and freelance translator in Moscow since 1967.

 

Translator of German poetry (Hölderlin, Chamisso, Novalis, R. M. Rilke, Hofmannsthal, Brecht, Arp, Fried, Grass, Jandl) into Russian, author of criticism and short prose.


Member of Russian Writer’s Association since 1976.
Member of Serbian Writer’s Association since 1999.

Rainer Maria Rilke, Selected Poems, translated by W. Kuprijanow, German and Russian, 3rd edition 2001.
